Hi All
This is my setup

ASDL Router (all Traffic to WG)
Watch guard II to rest of network

Right here goes as all I want to do is have a VPN between our laptop and our network when out and about.

Laptop-watchguard-2k3 server the laptop is all setup and was working before i placed the WG in-between the internet and our network.

But when I add the PPTP service on the WG the laptop doesn’t connect at all. The port 1723 gets denied by the WG.

If I add another service 1723 and NAT to the server then the laptop will get as far as verifying username and password and the WG will respond with

06/02/08 03:45 firewalld[109]: deny in eth0 57 gre 20 118 x.x.x.x x.x.x.x (default) and then it will time out.

Is there anyone that might be able to help me out with this simple but evasive setup?

Thanks for anyone’s help in advance

try this
In your DSL router, Allow TCP port 1723..and have it point to the IP address of your Firebox.
