We have local Microsoft SQL servers and clients (mainly 2000). We have a link to our ISP which hosts an NT IIS box and also a NT SQL 7 box. At each end of the link is a Watchguard Firbox 2. Only one of our servers can see the remote databases via the SQL Enterprise Manager - all the rest get timeouts when atempting to see. The ISP has said that the problem is not at the SQL level, we have also proved that it is not an IP addres issue as we have changed IP address's around. Additionally we have a VPN set-up between the Watchguard boxes which allows all trafffic to pass through. We can ping the SQL box - just problems with seeing the SQL box via SQL Enterprise Manager.
Appreciate any help.

Check your settings on the firewalls for port 1433. This is the port SQL Server uses. Marc Creviere
