I have a watchguard 1000 which was has been working fine for two years, Yesterday it stopped allowing incoming or outgoing and now wont let me access the router as it says it is locked. I cant ping it either from our internal network but can ping in from outside.

Ive tried to reset to the factory defaults but this doesn't do anyting. What is the default internal IP??

Cheers

Check your log files. We have seen similar results and it was a Denial of Service attack. We then turned on an option to drop the link when it is refused repeatadly. We also turned off the logging for denials, since the logging could not keep up. Once we turned this on, we have not had a problem since. Dan
