Hi,

I've got a open boot setting watchdog-reboot? which I don't know what it does and cant find any info on it.

Does anyone know what this setting does. Any info would be appriciated.

regards

The watchdog can be set to reboot the server if it hangs for any reason. This can be usefull for critical applications if the server goes down overnight.

Hi DeathStr1ke,

if set to "true" the watchdog-reboot? OpenBootProm variable performs an automatic reboot of the system after a shutdown of the system due to a hardware error. On Enterprise servers the faulty hw component will then not be used any more by the system after the reboot.
The default value of this OBP variable is "false".

Cheers,
