Wasting my backup time w Ghost and RAID? 1

I've got an ASUS K8N which I recently upgraded with a pair of SATA drives. I just had to RAID 0 them, of course, but getting that up and working properly was an exercise in frustration. I got them partitioned and formatted okay, and I could copy files to and from and all that neat stuff, but I couldn't get them to boot. I tried copying over my exitsting data with Partition Magic and Ghost, but neither worked. PM refused to copy, Ghost copied and acted like everything was hunky-dory, but the array still wouldn't boot. I tried a fresh install of Win2K, and THAT didn't work. The documentation on the ASUS and nVidia websites was uniformly crummy, but I did finally get a hint somewhere that the nVidia RAID and Win2K might not play together nicely. So I tried Win XP, and after a few false starts got it installed on the array and booting and everyone was happy.

Since I have a spare IDE drive now, I went ahead and set up Ghost to back up my new RAID array to it. Ghost acts like everything is working fine, but I have a sneaking suspicion that any restore I do won't be bootable. Does anyone have experience backing up/restoring from Ghost to this kind of array? Any suggestions on how I could test my backup safely?

I try not to let my ignorance prevent me from offering a strong opinion.

The short answer is that Ghost is not compatible with computers that use RAID.
