This error comes up upon bootup right before the login prompt. I've search Google, and the DocView documentation on the server, and haven't had much luck. My though is this error is more related to the Apache server that is installed by default on 5.0.7. In addition, another problem shows itself when this happens- it takes two 8GB tapes, to backup 1GB of data. I would appreciate any help.

Examine the files in the /etc/rc2.d/messages directory.

Hope This Helps, PH.

If you are running SSH (not installed by default, but available), you might be seeing this message as the system generates the Public/Private keys. I see there is a Verbose option to ssh-keygen.

I don't see how this would relate to your odd backup behavior. Is the system very busy during the backup time?
Have you tried a test restore?

It does deal with the ssh.
Also, the backup is fixed too. It was a reference in the software that was causing it to use two tapes. In our software, we have to specify how large the backup is. Needless to say, it was less than 1GB. Thanks for the replies.
