WARNING security resources tampered

Hello All

I have A customers Machine running win 98 that continues to show this message after starting up


"Warning Security resources tampered your computer application resource has changed software security may be comprised click ok to continue."


when ok is clicked the dialogue box becomesminimized and is visible in the taskbar, the problem does not appear to be having any other effect on the system or its operation.

Virus? corrupt files? System file Prob?

Any help or ideas on this one appreciated

In an effort to identify it, you may run the MSCONFIG utility.

Check your startup menu and see what is loading by start programs startup os go to system information and check what is running under running tasks that might rule out the software that created the problem.

Sounds like the message generated by those "net nannys" when someone attempts to circumvent them.
