WAP54G

I've run into an issue i'm not sure how to resolve.

I have a WAP54G connected to a linksys router cable/dsl router.
2 identical dell computers with USB wireless (WUSB54SG) adapters.
Settings are the same on both machines.
The two computers are next to each other

One of the PCs connects to the WAP and internet with no problem. The other says it connects to the WAP but not the internet. However, when i try pinging the WAP it does not reply (even though it says excellent connection). Every now and again it connects to the internet.

I tried with and without security, provided static and dynamic ip address, uninstalled and reinstalled the USB adapter, reinstalled the TCP stack.

What am i missing?

Check their website and see if you can upgrade the software in the equipment. Sometimes outdated software is shipped in the equipment and when you get it updates are available.
