I recently switched from cable to ADSL and back again to cable internet. I bought a D-Link DI-604 years ago to hook up my home LAN, when I switched to ADSL they gave me a wireless router (A D-link DSL 604+). When I discontinued my ADSL I swithched back to my old equipment because the new router acted as the modem for ADSL but will not for cable.
It occured to me that I might ba able to use the wireless router with the old router, can I just plug it in and assign a static IP?
