We are running a Win2000 professional PC connected to a domain server. The user has set up a screen saver password and does not want Win 2000 to prompt for unlock (cntl alt del) after they enter their screen saver password.

Is there anyway to turn this off?

If are the network administrator. You can apply a policy to your domain, or to that particular computer.
If this is the case..
Go to Active Directory U&C , make a new OU. Move that computer (It should be probably under the Computers container) to this new OU.Right click it and Go to Properties-->Group POlicy-->New-->Edit-->Computer Configuration-->Windows Settigns-->Security Settings-->Local POlicies-->Security OPtions. Here you will find a policy to Enable/Disable Ctrl+Alt+Delete and more stuff you can force your workstations to do.
MAke sure those workstations are pointing to your Domain DNS (internal).
In case you are not the network admin, but have access to that particular workstation, and have admin rights on it, Go to COntrol Panel-->Admin Tools-->POlicies-->local security POlicies-->Security OPtions, and set those policies you want to be applied..
This last path might be a little changed becasue I'm not in front of a win2k PC, but it should be very close to it.
IF you play with it, you can even disable screen savers and more stuff.
Hope it helps..
Good luck
