I want to use this with Illustrator or PhotoShop. I want a sentence to appear, one word at a time with a 2 second delay between words and a 10 second delay after the last word. The sentence will disappear after the final delay and start over. I want to do this on top of a graphic image. Can it be done, and how? I'm using PhotoShop and Illustrator CS, and I'm new to them and Macromedia Flash.

Just create a dyanamic text box, set the keyframes to your desired interval, and change the text in the text box for each keyframe. Flash is pretty much overkill for what you are doing, why don't you try Adobe ImageReady? It comes with Photoshop.

I would not say that Flash was "overkill" for this. You could do it in Imageready but you will end up with a "fat" gif file that eats up your bandwidth and takes forever to load (depending of course on how many transitions you put in it).

Flash can accomplish the same thing for less than 1kb, can do it vector, and can be dynamic. Those are things that you can not do with Imageready. Also you only need two frames to do it in Flash and can change the speed by changing the frame rate of the flash movie.

Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!
