want to start using php how to get started? 2

Hello I am new to the world of php programming and would like to get started but don't know how. I understand that php is open source so can I download and install 'php' from the net. I am running windows 2000 and from what little research I have done, it sounds like installing php is not always easy. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get started?

Yes. You can download from php.net. but, you may have trouble installing. I tried and it was hard. I finally gave up. But there are lots of people here who could help with that. Once you get it installed, and want some good tutorials, you can go to these:
