Can anyone help me in this regard? I will send an email to the distribution list and in turn it has to sent a text message to all the members(mobile numbers) in the distribution list. Is this possible? Let me know the procedure for doing this?

Sending e-mails can be done with VBA, but VBA questions are answered in forum707 It will help if you would state where you have your distribution list: Word? Excel? Other?
I am sure somebody can help you with SMS there as well.

Have fun.

There is a great need for a sarcasm font.

I will be sending email to the distributionlist@corp.com which in turn it has to sent sms to the members cellphone numbers.
This is my requirement.

Your "requirement" is very vague. I know you know what needs to happen, but – unfortunately – nobody else. :-(

“I will be sending email to the distributionlist@corp.com” are you already doing it (in Outlook, for example) or do you want to know how to send an e-mail from… what place? PowerPoint? Excel? Word?

Have fun.

Here's part of the confusion when you withhold vital information. I'd interpret that statement of yours that you will send an eMail to each address in your distribution list.

You got a whole lot of 'splainin' to do, like what's the specification of the file format that the vendor expects, for instance.

Simple is when there is an issue or P1 ticket, we need to send a notification to the mobile numbers of all the team members.
So I will be sending a text message to the distribution list email id, so that the text message will get delivered to all the team members in the DL. This is my requirement

I'm confused!

What about,
"I will send an email to the distribution list"
"I will be sending email to the distributionlist@com"
"So I will be sending a text message to the distribution list email id"

We have no idea what "an issue" or "P1 ticket" jargon is all about.

Please focus and give us a detailed specification of what you are sending (email or text message) how the data is assembled (manually or via an automated process), and what the step by step process is to accomplish your requirement.

Generally, mobile phone providers assign an email address to each phone in the form of "7182221234@verizon.net" to allow email to sms.

Just make a distribution list of those email addresses.

Would like to avail Outlook mobile alert. And also want to enable the Outlook mobile service, how do I do this? when I try to enable this service I get the column for Web Service address and Logon Information. And this is for the country India.

Outlook Mobile Alerts appears to be client based.

Not sure if it can be set up via policy.
