Want to merge names on a 200 page sales letter....

sorry, I am posting on data merge in fragmented thoughts...i learned the basic from different searches.....

question: I have a newsletter going out to 670 people, heavy with graphics, and needs to ONLY have individual names on them.....saying Welcome {person's name}......and EVERYTHING ELSE THE SAME....

so Indesign will merge the names, and creates a single page with name AND graphic when I say merge document....

and its like 150MB file........

Can we control this in Indesign. I mean does that mean I have 670 pages of pdf so my local kinkos can print it?
