Want to delete an xls file

I've tried

Kill "C:\path\file.xls"

..and nothing happened


I also tried SystemObject.DeleteFile "C:\"

..but DeleteFile is not even in my list of methods (which may mean I don't have the dll referenced)

Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!
