I am looking to connect two IP Offices together. The IP Offices are at two different sites and have a point to point T-1 between them. I want to specifically to be able to use four digit dialing between the two, assign some of the DID for the PRI at one site to ring phones at the other site (if this is possible), and have a centralized voicemail system. One site has an IP Office 406 and the other site have an IP Office SOE 401.

I have no idea how this could be done so any advice would be helpful.

This is all possible. What i would do is put routers on the PTP T1's and then you will need to build IP lines in your IPO's. You will need a VCM at each end. You may need to add IP routes into the IP Offices to get them to point over the point to point. I would say once you have the VCM in each system and the routers in place and working you may want to stop back and we can help you thru the rest.

I have the routers and the VCM in place. The routers have been set up so IP traffic goes to each network.

Your nearly there then.

You will need an IP route so that your can route the other sites traffic to the local gateway.

You also need to create an IP line to contol channels/codec and also the remote Gateway.

I have the IP route in place, but how do you control the IP line.

Sorry, I wanted to know how do you put in a IP line to control the channels/codec? What is it under and what settings do you need to configure?

in the line area on the IP office you right click and add IP line. Then fill in the info.

Have a peek here. There is some very good pointers here.
