Want STOP WATCH or COUNTER to be displayed on video!

As you know from TV (e.g. Eurosport) I want a time running (or stop watch) to be displayed on a video showing a skier. I'm using Premiere 1.5 and I wonder if there is as plugin awailable for this purpose.
In an other video I want numbers to be displayed counting from zero to e.g. 100.
Of course it would be possible to write every single number as a title and run this over certain frames, but that's too much work! I'd prefer to set keyframes and input the starting and the ending number and let the running numbers (counter) to be displayed by interpolation.

So please if anyone knows how to solve these problems, please let me know.

If you have After Effects, you can use the Numbers effect to do the overlay.

Or have a look at

He has an overlay video for download you can put as picture-in-picture to give timecode.
