We have a IPO 401 v 3.0 (no twinning feature), with analog trunks. I am looking for a way to notify me on my cell phone if I receive a call from 2-3 specific numbers. Don't actually need to answer the call on my cell, just need to know they are looking for me, and I can call them back.

Ideally a call comes in from number xxx-yyy-zzzz and the IPO rings my cell phone twice then pulls the call back and sends to my voice mail.

Or perhaps there is a way to have the system send out an email (to my cell txt msg) indicating the callerID info of the call???

So far I have tried follow-me, which works to an external in v. 3.0, but have not been able to get follow-me to work when the call comes from the auto-attendant dial by extension; it only works if I am called directly by another extension. Also I can't find a timer setting for the call to be pulled back and sent to voice mail, it just goes into my cell phone voice mail...

Any creative ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!

First off with Analog trunks you are likely not going to get the call to pull back. We don't monitor the status of the call once it hits the analog trunk so typically, almost always, once the call is gone it is gone.

That being said you can create a phantom extension that is forwarded to your cell phone. The in incoming call routes put the caller ID for those few users and point them to the phantom extension. Then in Voicemail Pro you can point the user's Leave action to a Leave Mail for your primary extension or even a transfer to your primary extension so it rings your desk phone.

taking kyles idea a step further you could through an email action in between to generate the email.

Yes, TomMills, email action is the way I went here, and its working perfectly. In case anyone has a similar situation, here is what I did:

How to send a text message notification of incoming calls (this can be modified for all calls, particular calls, calls after hours, etc.)

Went to the "Main Line" module, which is our auto attendant that takes incoming calls.

Inserted at the beginning
CLI Routing Action - listed all the CLID's for which I want to be notified, and linked all these to an Email Action. (No Match goes straight to Main Menu).
Email Action - configured to send email to my cell. In my case, I used the txt messaging address of mycellnumb@txt.att.net. Every carrier has one of these, or if you have crackberry or smart phone you can use regular email... you get the idea.
I also wanted to know which of the numbers was trying to reach me. I could have made one Email Action for each corresponding number, and then entered in the body of the email the number, but I found an easier way: Enter in the content field of the email "$CLI" (no quotes), and the IPO inserts the CLID info. Nice, and adding or deleting numbers now is easier with only one action to modify.

That's it. Thanks for the input guys-

nice one. glad you got it working the way you want it to.
