Which factors help to explain why satellite microwave transmission is seldom used for wan link?
Satellite microwave is expensive.

long delays between sender and receiver require long timeout and retry intervals on transmission.

Microwave freq must be licenced by regulatory bodies before they are used.

Extensive error checking makes it very slow.

All of them could be factors. You also need line of sight I believe. This is all looking like someones school (or CLASS) work. Am I correct? James Collins
