I have several directories on my server that over the past 2 weeks have mysteriously lost their rights and permissions. Nothing I have done would have caused this and I am having difficulty tracing the permissions structure. Anyone have any ideas as to what is happening here?

Make sure your end users have change rights. Only domain admins should have full control. The only other thing to watch for is when applying security to a directory with sub directories watch the replace permissions on subdirectories. This will apply the settings to all files and dirs in the tree from that point down
