have a couple of wireless problems and would be grateful for any help.

I have a Wanadoo livebox. My first laptop has a Netgear WG511v2 wireless pcmcia adapter. Everything was running smoothly and I had no problems, but now the connection either does not start up when I boot my machine, or
it drops out if the pc is idle or just drops peridoically anyway. To retrieve it I have to do the following:

Start
Control Panel
Network Connections
Right Click Wireless Connection
Select ‘View Available Wireless Networks’
Click on my network
Select ‘Change Advanced Settings’
Click Wireless Network tab
Tick check box, ‘use windows to configure my wireless network settings’
Click Ok
My network is found

Sometimes however, the network adapter icon in systray shows that 'Netgear WG511v2 is connected to Wanadoo', the connection status shows as connected, but I cannot pull up a web page. I have changed the laptop's name - could that do it?

The second laptop has exactly the same network adapter. I have not been able to connect to the internet at all on this one. I can see my network in the available networks, but when I attempt to connect to it using Windows, it just searches and eventually times out. This one is my work laptop and connects to a LAN.

What further troubleshooting can I do please?

Thanks
Amanda
