This is a relatively minor botnet, responsible for less than 1% of the world's spam. It was good in that there was a legal precedent established for going around the registrars and shutting down the C2 servers. This has not been done in the past, and takes many months and lawyers.

Any publicity is good publicity, and helps raise awareness among the "average users" and remind them that these threats are out there. I'll take what I can get, but no cartwheels yet.
