Big Lucy has a lodge that says the wake-up feature doesn't work. I'm told that a Mitel tech told the on site tech that it needs a card $200. What is he talking about? In the Express Msgr the mailboxes are set up as guest with 11 and 12 in the feature access codes enabled.
As always your help is appreciated

What sx200 do you have and what software version? Do you have the hospitality card (its a little tiny thing that is attached to the master control card) if it is an 200ML/EL? and what feature level do you have?

Big Lucy, to use wakeup on the 200 does not require any card. It is included through the PBX in the basic software. To use the Express Messenger to set wakeup calls you need the hospitality option in your voicemail, which it looks like you have if you have guest mailboxes. You will need to program the wakeup code (feature 32) into the voicemail, as well as allow the vm to set wakeup calls by enabling it in the COS Options. By the way feature codes 11 and 12 in the PBX have nothing to do with wakeups, those are for Attendant access and paging.

Matt85. Please enlighten me on this hospitality card, the little tiny thing attached to the MCC. I have never heard of such an item.

Thanks Mitelman I found in the e-doc right after I posted this thread about the wakeup, and your reply said the same as the e-doc's. Now that it works (and this lodge has had this installed for years and didn't know how to use it) they now want a rad to be added. I see I need to go to CDE 17 and add a hunt group, have you ever added a rad to wakeup?

Adding a RAD for wakeup is pretty easy. Program a port up, put it in the rad hunt group, and program the rad hunt group form in the appropriate tenant in Form 19. I have not used the express messenger as a RAD, personally, but other techs in my office have with no issue. Regular rads work very well. The only gotcha is that you don't want to make the rad greeting to long, or you may run into problems as numbers of people may get wakeups set for the same time. If you don't have enough ports people will get queued up to the rad greeting as they will have to wait for it to finish playing.
