Waiting message while computing? 1

I am doing a lot of computing and i have the hourglass cursor being displayed. I am concerned taht the users may think that the program is hung.
Is there a way to display a message saying wait... with the 3 periods moving to show activity?
Or something like that...

Let me add to my previous post. I know on how to create an animated cursor. What i do not know is on how long my computation process are going to take. I really wanted to use the progressbar but do not know on how to update the position while the program is computing.
Is that possible?

The best way to do this is put your processor intensive activity in a slave thread which leaves the main thread to handle the GUI.
