Wacky table width in NS

First: there are two body-tags in the source...

Since I have no Netscape here, I can not see whats going wrong. Usually Netscape borwsers are very likely to "do strange things" to complex table layouts.

Ways out: decrease the number of nested tables or try to use spacer images (1 pixel, transaprent gifs) to determine the width. cu, Sascha

There are not two body tags but for some reason when you view the source, two show up. ???

The second <body> tag is on line 127 in your code.

The Table width problem (or at least part of it) stems from the Job Description for &quot;Senior Supervisor Casino Moose Jaw&quot;. The cell containing the Salary reads like this:

$13.53/hr
(probationary)$14.53/hr
(permanent)

Since there are no spaces on the second line of text, Netscape (and incidentally, Mozilla as well) treat this as a single &quot;word&quot; and will not &quot;wrap&quot; it. Simply a space before the &quot;$&quot; on the second line, and it should wrap, making the table it's in narrower, allowing the main table to be narrower as well.

This may not be the only problem, but fixing it should at least bring you closer to the desired width.

Ciao,K
