Yes, changing IE Connection properties will stop the DUN from appearing with each boot. Unfortunately, now we have to manually launch DUN to dial out to the Internet. We do that more times a day than reboot(normally).
I tried leaving IE & DUN in automatic & removing the W98 NTBE Agent from the registry, then launching it manually or as-needed after the system was up. Whenever the agent is launched it still starts DUN. It seems that starting the Agent causes IE to attempt to use the default DUN connection.
These two features seem to be mutually exclusive, in a hands-off sense.
Any thoughts?
