Hi All,
I know this issue has been addressed but all the threads and surfing I have found has not solved my issue.
I have a browser based app (Firefox only) that uses MSAccess as a back end with about 12-15 users.
Problem:
w3wp.exe eats up cpu and freezes (IIS) the other users on the browser when running certain pages. This problem only happens at 1 client site and when running certain pages. These pages are optimized already and do not create this issue at numerous other sites.
Current Solution:
Stop the w3wp.exe process. Obviously this solution is not acceptable due to the program needing to complete and does not happen when stopping the process.
I have a w2k3 server, IIS 6, 2.79g processor, 3g ram, no sql server running, no oracle, mcaffee not running on drive, IIS cache setting set to 5 pages memory, 2000 on drive, windows firewall turned off, building firewall does not effect it.
Does anyone have any other suggestions that have not been named (IE Disable McAffee, IIS Page Cache)
