Hi,
We have a web application (ASP), that is hosted on a server with the following specifications:
Windows Server 2003 - Web Edition
IIS version 6.0
CPU: Celeron 2.0GHz, 512MB RAM
Database (residing on the same server): SQL Server 2000 with SP3a
At certain times during the day, the web site slows down significantly and when checking Task Manager on the server, the CPU is almost flat-lining at 100% with the w3wp.exe consuming the majority of CPU.
Currently, only this application resides on this server, and I am surprised that it is struggling to handle the application.
Is there anything that I do to resolve this issue?
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated
Thanks
Dabase
