W3855 W3844 - Unable to position media

software - brighstor 9 build 2100 on windows 2003
hardware - Dell T136 LTO2 Library

having problems running a restore from different backups. the error messages im getting are :
W3884- Unable to position media catalog file
W3885- Unable to position media

it then defaults to a sequential merge, but only merges part of the backup.

can anyone make any suggestions? thanks in advance.

HI,

Can you scan the tape?
If the scan does not complete successfully, there could be a possible corruption with the media.

So it Shall be Written!
