w32.spybot.worm keeps showing up even after I removed it 1

Hi

I got this worm in my computer, and I went to symantec site to get the procedures to remove the worm.

I am sure I went through the correct procedures to remove it, but am still getting the worm show up (norton keeps deleting it, everyday for 2 months now)

Can anyone tell me what that means?

If you run windows xp make sure to turn off system restore before cleaning the worm off your computer, if you dont it will keep coming back.

Yeah i would keep system restore of now because there are alot of virus flying around at the moment and keeping it on could just mean you keep infected yourself over and over. I would do a check that you have got any other trojans on your pc. Run windows update make sure you have all the patches to.

Is it in the Quarantine folder? You didn't say what version on Norton you are using. But it's a common issue. You need to delete it out of quarantine otherwise every time NAV does its scan it reports a virus being found.
