Has anyone ever heard of the trojan, W32.Canbede? I use Computer Associates AV for my home computer. Last week I got the Look2Me bug on my computer and all the removal tools out there would not get rid of it. So I stepped up from AVG Free and installed CA Anti-Virus. It's given a name to what I have and says that it cleans up the infected files.
However, after I delete everything in the quarantine, temp files and reboot the computer after the scan, I run a scan again and I get the same thing that appears!
I've done a google on the trojan, but it seems to be CA specific.
This is the information on the product:

I'm hoping there's something other than "Just let the AV fix it"...cause its not!!!!

the new variant of l2me is being dealt with by spysweeper.

If that doesn't fix it we can always run the l2me fix!

Please download WebRoot SpySweeper from here: (It's a 2 week trial):
Click the Free Trial link under to "SpySweeper" to download the program. Install it.
Once the program is installed, it will open.
It will prompt you to update to the latest definitions, click Yes.Once the definitions are installed, click Sweep Now on the left side.Click the Start button.
When it's done scanning, click the Next button.
Make sure everything has a check next to it, then click the Next button. It will remove all of the items found.
Click Session Log in the upper right corner, copy everything in that window. Click the Summary tab and click Finish.
Paste the contents of the session log you copied into your next reply.

Download hijack this from the link below. Please do this. Click here:

to download HijackThis. Click scan and save a logfile, then post it here so
we can take a look at it for you. Don't click fix on anything in hijack this
as most of the files are legitimate.

post a hijack this log and spysweepers log

Thanks Pencheneg!
I thought after using adware, Spybot, CWShredder, etc Spy Sweeper was the only one I didn't try!

Anyhoo, here is my Hijackthis log after the Spy Sweeper:

yip, spysweeper got it, it's a real find as this new variant has been very difficult to remove since it appeared and the l2me fix has been failing to budge it without a hard struggle! A new l2me fix is being worked on as far as I know?

your log is clean!

you can fix these as they don't need to be there on startup!

Thanks a bunch!

It was so nice to relax with one of my games last night and not have pop ups continue to interrupt!
