I have a Windows 2003 Server R2, SP1 that continually has its System log get corrupted. Its used as a print server, and I am trying to extract data from the log, but I can't if the log file is corrupt. I don't want to continually have to clear the log, as I need the data in it.

It might last 2 weeks before it gets corrupted. I have another server with SP2 (R2 as well) that has the same problem, so I don't think the service pack will help.

Any ideas?

Have you scanned for viruses? Maybe change the location that the log files write to.

No viruses. Actually, now I think its because the server is clustered with other servers. Maybe I should be disabling event log replication ?
