W2K3 Multiple Normal and Incremental jobs

Is this plausable using W2k3:

1.) Monthly normal Backup followed by a weekly incremental Backup

2.) Weekly Normal Backup followed by a daily Incremental backup.

Questions: When a normal backup runs it clears the file atributes. If I am running (2) normal backups followed by their incremental backups are there multiple instances of attributes assigned to the files or will the weekly normal backups reset the attributes for the Monthly Normal backup causing problems with the weekly incremental backups?

Please advise
