Hello, We have introduced a good number of Vista Business workstations as part of a planned phase out of XP. There are currently 50 Vista stations along side 200 XP and 100 Mac workstations. As expected XP and OS X workstations are functioning normally but Vista is giving us trouble in relation to file transfer speeds. All Vista PC's are patched up but we can't seem to achieve speeds you would expect from say an XP workstation. There are several articles on hot fixes with mixed results but though I'd ask the question anyway. Has the W2K3 environment got a role in these issues? It seems we are dealing with a host of small probs but this one is causing us the most grief. We are running on 100mb 3com switches and as mentioned before both XP and OS X workstations are fast.

Thanks.

According to this;

You can do this on the vista boxes which may help;

netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?
