I am running a process on a remote machine. I also have a check process that checks to see if the original process is up. If it isn't up, the check process restarts the original process. However, when the original process terminates (for whatever reason), the check process does not appear to know that it has terminated. When I connect to the remote machine, the icon for the original process is still in the task bar even though it has terminated. A second or two after connecting, the icon disappears from the taskbar and the check process kicks in normally. Is anyone aware of a method of getting the machine to refresh itself, so that my check process will work without having to connect to force the refresh? Thanks.
