Windows 2000 Server SP4
I have set up a W2K server. It is a domain controller, is running DNS, DHCP, RRAS, IIS, and IAS. I wrestled with trying to get the server to share its internet connection with clients through RRAS using two NICs, one on the INSIDE Lan, and the other on the outside. Finally I simply tried setting DNS on the client to look at an external DNS server, and it works like a charm. Now I can access internet from the server on the OUTSIDE Nic, and from the clients through the INSIDE nic. However, it stops working when I try to use my server as DNS. ANy idea why this is? Thanks !
