Hi All
I have just installed SP4 on to a Windows 2000 professional
workstation which has IIS installed.
The machine was working fine prior to the sp4 install but now every so often I get a inetinfo.exe has failed error message and when I check the eventlog I get the following error messages
"Event Id: 7031
The IIS Admin Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 7 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 1 milliseconds: Run the configured recovery program.
Event Id: 7031
The Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP) service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 7 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: No action.
Event Id: 7031
The World Wide Web Publishing Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 7 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: No action. "
I have found the following technet article but its advice is to install the latest service pack
This problem has caused our Mail Essentials installation to stop working properly so any help would be appreciated.
