I am actually migrating my win2k server which is on ide controller to another machine with scsii hard drive and different hardware. The new server will replace the old one.The actual server is a DNS and DHCP ones.
I would like to know how to proceed to make the migration.I have tried to ghost (v6.x) the IDE drive to the SCSI one,it doesn't work.Maybe the ghost version I used doesn't support Scsi.
Any alternative to migrate my server would be appreciated.

Thks.

what you may need to do is adding another server as DC and transfering the roles into the new DC and then demoting the first DC. quoted from
What will happen when demoting a DC

When a domain controller is demoted, if it is not the last domain controller in the domain, it performs a final replication and then transfers the roles to another domain controller. If the domain controller is a global catalog, that role is not transferred to another domain controller. In this case, you must manually select the check box in Active Directory Sites and Services Manager for another domain controller to take over the role.
