All,
Our Main Department Server:
Model: DL380 G3.
RAM: 2GB
Storage: Local 1.4TB
O/S: Win2000
Role: File Server.

Yesterday and today @ 3pm approx this server has 'hung'. It is still on the network and pinging. However disconnects all users and refuses any client connections.
The only remedy is to reboot the server.

I have checked the EventLog and found nothing suspicious.

Any help as to why this occured would be appreciated.

Could be anything from a memory leak to a failed application. Your best bet would be to look at both System and Application logs for an indication of what may have happened

I have installed the latest versions of CIM 7.8. as I read that the NIC Driver may lock up due to too many concurrent connections on the version we were running, 7.4.

Cheers for the advice
