Hi
We've done a deployment of Office XP using Group Policy at user configuration level, the install has been customised with a transform .mst which has been used to set up the Outlook / Exchange connectivity as well as various other bits and pieces. We've hit a problem in that if a user roams to another workstation the installation has to be re-run using the Add New Programs in the workstation control panel.
We've setup the roaming profiles and they work without a problem it's just the irritant with having to the do the initial Office install albeit only once...
Everything works perfectly except the office install issue. Does anyone have an ideas on the best way to correct this so that roaming is a little less troublesome.
Basic outline on versions etc.
Clients - Windows XP. SP1 - Office XP / Outlook 2002.
Server - W2K, W2003, Exchange 2K
Group Policy deployed at user container level, not workstation level.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Regards
J.
