Hi. Apologies if this is a repeat.

I have a box with W2K Server and the default IIS that comes with that.

The objective is to have a small website for friends to see, but hosted on this box.

I have set my domain to point to the static public IP address as assigned by my ISP.

The problem is that the website doesn't load when requested from someone's computer that is outside my LAN.

Within the LAN, all computers can see the website.

I have done some NSLookups and web based DIGs and they are all suggesting that the domain is pointed to my server box.

Why, therefore, does the site not load externally?

I'd this in the IIS forum.

Hope this helps,
Dan

I have solved this now, thanks. Surprisingly (not) it was a simple thing... my firewall was set to block from WAN to LAN!
