I have had this problem on several laptops and my home computer. The connection settings in internet options changes all by itself. Everytime I try to log onto the internet I have to open the options and set the dialing properties to "dial whenever a network connection is not present".
My laptop is used both on dial up and on a network connection. This has happened with different laptops and different operating systems.
My home computer is running W2K and each user has a logon but there are no network cards.
Every time we want to get on the internet the setting is back to "Never dial a connection"
Does anyone have any idea how to fix that?

Have you read thru the subject "dial-up aotomation" in W2K Help? It may be helpful. Also, presence of multiple user may have such an effect on the setting (small chance)

Try the W2K forum they may be able to help with software problems better.
