I've browsed threads looking for this one - I'm stumped (again). It's a Windows 2k Pro (SP3) Dell, being configured on a W2kserver network running ADS and DHCP. So - under Network ID, when changing from the default "workgroup" to "domain", this ONE PARTICULAR PC doesn't recognize the name of the domain. We've tried entering a few syntax versions: "domain" and "domain.local" - all returning the msg "domain <whatever was entered> cannot be found". Any ideas of what's going on? or what to do next to resolve?

you triple checked that you're getting the correct DNS IP addresses and that you can resolve host names on the intranet?
