W2K Pro / PlextorUtilities Software conflict

When I install "Plextor Utilities" software neither my Pioneer DVD or the PlexWriter 12/10/32A will read installed disks. Once the software is uninstalled the drives work perfectly!

I could use my computer without the software but this problem is begining to bug me - any ideas?

WHat does the utilites do? if those utilities lets you copy cds and stuff, suggestion is to get cd creator 5.0 it works awesome with plextor and dvd also works fine. I am guessing that is what the utilities you are using does.
