We are part of a WAN and have an administrator account set up on the active directory for our company.

We want to change the administrator password as it hasn't been changed for a while. Changing it in the active directory is not a problem. But after a while it becomes locked out, as if something somewhere on the network is trying to access it with the old password.

Is there anywhere else on the system or local hard drive that it has to be changed or is there anywhere to find out how it is becoming locked out.

There is nothing in the Event Viewer to give you a clue.

Can anyone help ??

Perhaps the account is being used in the Log On details for services on your servers. If you've changed the password in AD whenever these services try to start they will not be able to as they will be trying to use the old password. Look for services which should be running and aren't. Check their startup parameters - if they are using the account then change the password to the same as you made it in AD. Better still create a new account for the services to use, otherwise this will happen evey time you change the password.
