I´ve a Windows NT4 PDC and I want to add a second server in the domain with "Windows 2000 Server". When I try to connect my Windows2000 Server to the Domain he says that the PDC of the domain isn´t an Active Directory - Server. Is there a possibility to degrade the NT4-Server to be a BDC and use the new one as PDC?...

first demote the nt4 server with the w2k server off then bring the w2k server on and promote it to PDC then join the nt4 server to the new domain...

ps; w2k servers hate other pdc's [sig][/sig]

First questions you should ask yourself is wether :
you want to run in mixed mode (NT 4.0 domain type)
you want to run in native mode (A.D. installation)
...or maybe you just want it to be a member server.
