K.. this is THE most frustrating thing ever.. I've had an external backpack rewriter for a year now which was connected to one of my machines (NT4) via the parrarel port. I recently connected it to another computer (W2K) via usb. Unfortunately my printer refused to work. So I uninstalled the backpack drive and now my computer refuses to boot. I then tried booting it with the usb wire still connected to the port and viola... the computer works fine. I also have a zip drive attached to this computer.

Any solution to this problem is much appreciated!

Try your emergency system dish or your Boot disks to repair your system
Good luck
