I am unfortunately trying to use a DOS program in Windows 2000 that must use a modem to upload data to a vendor. I have tried 3 different external modems and all 3 work in any of the Windows 2000 programs.
However, when I try to connect from within the DOS program, it appears to send the initialization commands to the modem, but the modem never dials. I've tried many different init strings and several different speed selections from within the DOS program, with no luck. Any suggestions?
(I'm using the external modems because when I try an internal one, w2k installs on a higher irq than the DOS program will allow).
