W2K long delay at "preparing network connection" stage

I have a W2K server with AD installed. Suddenly I found out that at startup the server delays unduly at the "Preparing network connection" stage during startup. I have reapplied service pack 3 as suggested in Microsoft article 266132. But the problem is still there.

It has to do with your DNS setting. If your server is a DNS server make sure point it to itself and in your forward dns setting point it to your isp DNS.
