I have 2 Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 2 computers networked with 10BaseT using a standard network setup. (Same errors were occuring in Service Pack 1 and Retail Release of W2K professional) One computer, an 800MHz Intel that has a 20GB harddrive configured as an UltraDMA device (perhaps overtasked), keeps STOP erroring whenever I transfer large files to it (>100 Meg) via the network from a lower performance 500MHz AMD (not so overtasked) with a 40GB harddrive (faster throughput than the 20GB). From the debug output I can see it is Invalid Page faulting in atapi.sys (The 800MHz Intel). So it would appear to have something to do with the PCI hardware subsytem, performance related. Are there any ideas on stopping these crashes from occuring? Specifically what should I concentrate my efforts on in the troubleshooting process (short of reinstalling Win2k). Incidentally, the 800MHz Intel is running a japanized verison of Win2000 (I don't think this is related to the problem). Any good finger points in the right direction would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
